For those of you who read.....An author I recommend

I received My Sisters Keeper by Jodi Picoult for Christmas from Julee (for those of you who don't know who she is, Julee is my mother up in Vancouver, WA).....what an awesome book. I can't put down any of Jodi's books. I'm very excited about discovering this author, and she in fact lives here in NH up near Dartmouth College.
I highly recommend this book as well as any other by this author. I've read Vanishing Acts, The Pact and just started Plain Truth.

The Clinton Foundation is looking for interns

WOA!! Sign me up!! Scroll thru this link to the middle, where you will see "hands on experience". Who was the brainiac who wrote that??!! Bill Clinton never fails to me me laugh...not with him, but at him. Such a bafoon.

A former Taliban offical attending Yale??

Wow, I am really out of the loop on the news cycle. I finally went to Michelle Malkin's site today after not checking it for a few weeks. My eyes were very wide reading THIS. I'm beyond flabbergasted, beyond words.....

Our two cats

Check out how adorable our two cats are. Matty is the pretty princess, and Apollo is the big orange boy. MEOW!

GO HAWKS!! I like this pic, so am posting it for no reason

A Big Red Tomato

Here I am last night, all bundled up to go to the grocery store. Yes, it is a must to be this hunkered down to just go outside around here. Nashua temp, 10... Real feel, -20!!
Note the annoyed look on my face.... I eventually wrapped that scarf around my face and left a blow-hole available for breathing. I looked like a cherry tomato!!

Parkers Maple Barn: Mason, NH (text is below pics)

Here are some pics we took on Saturday around Noon. We went out to Parkers Maple Barn, about 20 miles west of Nashua. The snow was falling out there, so it was like a postcard.....so perfect. We had a really good breakfast - definitely worth the trip. Mason, NH was incorporated in 1768.

A Catholic-only town in the US??

I stumbled across this article today via The Drudge Report. Really interesting....

RANT!!! Disappointed in Bush - follow up

OMG!! According to this news story, Bush was in the dark about the port deal until it was already approved??! Woa... our own President doesn't know what is going on? I've gone beyond disppointed to out right disgusted/annoyed/angry, etc... I swear to God I could do a better job running this country!! UGH...

Door to Door killing of Christians

The Religion of Peace will now make a house call to come kill you. Next time your doorbell rings, think twice. There might be the end of a barrell waiting for you.... This is so nice. Instead of leaving the house, wondering if I could die, now I can just stay in the warmth of my home and wait for them to drop on by with their intolerance and hate.... Oh, excuse me, I meant peace.

Disappointed in Bush big time!!

I just have to say...I'm so let down by Bush. What the hell is going on with this port deal?!! I cannot believe what he is doing. What a total insult to the victims of 9-11! What a slap in the face to the American people. Is this PC gone mad? Is this ass kissing in the highest form?
Shouldn't U.S. ports be run by......oh I don't know...maybe AMERICANS??! They are our ports for God's sake! And he has the NERVE to tell congress he will veto any bill blocking this decision!! What about what the rest of us want?!! Clearly the average Joe like me has zero voice anymore. No politican really gives a shit about the rest of us. UGH, makes me so angry I don't even have the words to describe how totally flabbergasted I am by this port deal.
Now that I live in the birthplace of our country, I have been wondering these past few days what our Founding Fathers would think if they could come back and see how their country has turned out. I am sure they are turning over in their graves. All the sacrifice and hard work, and what do we do..... sell ourselves out and give up our freedoms.

Here is commentary by Joseph Farah of WND that worth reading

Carter Supports Bush on crazy port deal

Ok, if Jimmy Carter thinks this is a good idea, then that is YOUR SIGN that is this a very bad deal indeed. Let's not forget that is was Jimmy Carter who helped remove the Shah of Iran and bring us the psycho Iran we have today. Thanks Jimmy for all your support of the U.S. over the years! Maybe his pittle peanut farm is getting some kick backs from this deal....

Hamas: Israel must be eliminated

This is very scary..... Hamas, aka Jew Killers, has declared that Israel must be eliminated from the middle east. This group recently won the Palestinian Authority elections, so clearly there are people who take Hamas seriously. Yikes.

Let's sum up: We now have Iran and Hamas announcing they have the same goal, Iran has nukes, and the PA is a bunch of psychos. Sounds like a recipe for war if you ask me, but hey, what else would you expect from the Religion of Peace

Oldest Restaurant in the U.S.

Wow! I will definitely be checking out the Union Oyster House. I heard about this place today on the radio while driving to work. The menu is making my mouth water! Click the link below for some very intertesting U.S. history. The toothpick was first used in the U.S. at this restaurant. Since 1826, this place has had only 3 owners. Wow...

The PIt Bull debate...

Interesting article I just came across in the Seattle Times regarding banning or not banning pit bulls. Personally, I think they are super sweet and I've only had positive experiences with this breed. Here are 3 pics of some very cute American Staffordshire Terriers (the breed that they actually are)....
Look at these smiles!!

Scenes from Hollis, NH

This small town/village is about 10 miles west of Nashua. I went out there yesterday (had the day off) to explore. I checked out the graveyard in this pic. A lot of the grave markers were from the late 1700's! Some of the bldg's in this town are original circa 1760's, 1770's and 1780's. The area surrounding Hollis is orchards and farms. The other pic here is of a farm off of a road I was driving on. I just loved these bldg's....

Clinton kisses Pakistani butt

Here is a story where our good buddy Bill Clinton says that the press should not be allowed to pick on a religion, and the Mohaamed cartoon publishers should be convicted. Ok, so I get it: We should all respect Islam, but it's ok when Christianity is made fun of, blasphemed, etc... The bias towards Islam is pathetic and makes me sick....

Alec Baldwin = Blowhard

Celebrities really bug the crap out of me sometimes.... UGH. Here is Alec Baldwin spewing about how Dick Cheney is a terrorist. Ah Yes Alec, you have really hit the nail on the head this time. We should all bow down to you for exposing the threat that is Dick Cheney.
When was the last time this guy even had a good movie?
The "Religion of Peace" orders a hit! Read all about it here!!

Some more pics from today's adventure in the snow

Here are some pics we took today as we ventured out into the storm. We wanted to take Janni to the park, but that didn't last too long. Temp: 20 degrees, Real Feel: 5 degrees....probably colder when the wind blew the snow horizontal into our faces. FUN!!

This is how they plow out here!!

Seattle could learn some lessons on how to deal with the snow from these guys!!

Today's Storm in Nashua

My first big Nor'Easter!!

A big storm is on it's way towards us as I write this. Probably going to start dumping snow early tomorrow AM, like 2-3am, then continue all day until about 4pm. Looks like Old Man Winter is going to hit the Cape area alot harder than us here in Southern NH, but we will still get maybe 6-8 inches. I'll be workin' the snow shovel tomorrow once this thing is done....got to get to my new job Monday AM! We plan to stay inside tomorrow, so are stocked up on food. It will be a good time for me to unpack more boxes and get this place a little more organized....
More here.

YIKES

This is a very scary outfit!!

Let's blame others!

Again, out with personal responsibility and in with blaming others. Here's some commentary on that gay-bar rampage that happened recently here in New England. Seems to me that the gay community should be angry with the Robina kid, but instead they are blaming Christianity. UGH....

A must see site!

My friend's husband posted a link to this site from his blog. A MUST SEE!

This is where Rob works here in Nashua, NH

Seahawks do not win....

I'm pretty sad the Hawks came up short on this one. But what an amazing year for them. They still deserve all our congrats!

I've been sick....Sorry for the non-blogging.

Hello world out there. I apologize for the lack of serious blogging and not following up on my saga to move to the east coast. I've been sick with a chest cold for the past few days and really have not had the energy I need to devote to writing, commenting, etc.... I promise to take it up a notch starting tomorrow. Tomorrow, the 6th, is the big day our movers arrive with our stuff. They said the 3rd, so planned my sick life around that date, but OH NO, I had to called Bekins for like a 4th time to find out my real delivery date is the 6th. And just like the cable guy, I only get the time from of 12pm-5pm for them to show up. I'm feeling a little better, so will perhaps venture out into the cold NH morning tomorrow before these clowns get here. To pass the time, I will email, blog, follow the news online, etc.... Anything to pass the time around here....

Religion of Peace at it again

Well, this whole cartoon mess has really brought out all the peaceful elements of Islam. Flag burning, death wishes, and torching of embassies in Syria. Death and destruction - just all in a day's work for the Religion of Peace and Tolerance! Sign me up for this religion! YEHAW!!

WOA - Crazy NW Weather

Looks like we are missing some crazy weather back home. Hope Seattle is still standing when I return later this year! yikes!

Cartoons offensive, but 9-11 not?

Give me a break!! A cartoon incites this kind of uproar, but something like 9-11 does not. When a 9-11 happens, or a homicide bomber strikes, Muslims stay quiet...but give them a cartoon and they go crazy. Insane!! I don't feel sorry them one bit....
