Memorial Day - rounding out the weekend w/ the Hastings

Monday was great - spent most of the day with Naarah, Jason and the girls. Alas, no pics to document the day. We ate some spicy Allen Brother's brats, had some good unoaked Chardonnay I brought over from the wine fest, hung out on the deck in the sun, paid a visit to neighbor Jim, ate some more food, drank some more wine, played with the girls, discussed what we are reading -work-politics (gee, what a surprise there), checked out the new house plans, and got in some great videos on TV. Oh, and ended the night with a Lifetime movie - gotta love those. The company was the best of course.... good friends.... good times..

Water Taxi to Downtown Seattle

Sunday we headed into downtown Seattle from W. Seattle via the Water Taxi! Super fun quick 12 minute ferry ride - passenger only. Perfect way to get downtown. We did the Pike Place thing, shopped at Sephora and Nordies, then had a great lunch at a new place called Steelhead Diner.

Wine Festival this weekend

My very good friend Renata was up from Sacramento for the weekend. We headed out to Woodinville for the Washington Wine highway wine fest on Saturday - the weather turned out awesome! Sunny skies and 70 degree temps. We had a lot of great wine and food all day.

Super Cute new Puma's for ML

Got these over the weekend to replace 10 yr old GV Specials, whose soles were coming apart while Renata and I shopped on Sunday. What rocked about these is they were on sale!!

Saturday Night Trivia Fun

Spent Saturday evening w/ close friends Naarah and Jason Hastings. After sharing a nice meal at Blackbird, we headed over to Admiral Pub (both across the street from my place), for a few rounds of trivia and a few pitchers of beer. We all proved to be formidable opponents against each other. In reality, I think I was just scared of Naarah's guns - observe below:

ML's Weekend Activities

What was I up to this weekend? My brother Joe was up Friday night from Portland. Started the evening with a few margaritas at my place, then hit Ama Ama Oyster Grill's late night menu, then went to Shadowland for a couple more drinks, then back to the condo. It was very fun!!

Saturday was recovery time for Joe, so I chilled out by walking the dog and taking a nap. My brother headed out by 6pm, so I headed over to Blockbuster. I was uninspired, so rented Borat, since I hadn't seen it yet. It was pretty funny I guess. Now today, I'm off to the very exciting Jiffy Lube for an oil change. It's super sunny today, so need to come up with an outdoor activity. I'm also thinking of going to the Seattle Art Musuem for the Roman exhibit.
